DMK Golf Design is proud and honored to have earned the most coveted design commission in recent memory, to create the new seventh course for the St Andrews Links Trust in the home of golf.
The stars aligned with the team that came together for this project, led by Paul Kimber, whose creativity and contributions touched every inch of the course and aspect of the endeavor. His leadership, as well as the efforts of Mick McShane, Conor Walsh, the entire Links Trust staff, and a host of other talented individuals, all helped us achieve our collective goal of creating the best possible golf course, one that is challenging, entertaining, and absolutely stunning.
There was no shortage of obstacles that had to be overcome, including local political issues, a flat, uninspiring parcel of farmland, always unpredictable and often inhospitable Scottish weather, and St. Andrews’ state-of-the-art wastewater treatment works, which now sits largely hidden behind the wild landforms that now give the course it character.
